Curant Health is searching for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join its team in Smyrna, GA. This position is primarily responsible for conducting organizational audits to ensure company quality standards are maintained. The QA Specialist also assists with identifying process improvement opportunities and new audit development.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily audits of prescriptions prior to pharmacy dispensing.
  • Complete ongoing audits of patient retention team calls.
  • Complete all organization operational audits as needed.
  • Work with Continuous Process Improvement Manager to develop new quality audits as appropriate to ensure quality metrics are achieved.
  • Work with and provide reporting information as appropriate to the Joint Quality Assurance Committee
  • Provide reporting as needed associated with all quality audits.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities based on quality metrics.
  • Work with Continuous Process Improvement Manager and leadership team to develop process improvements.
  • Data entry as needed to complete quality audits.
  • Assist with developing additional training materials as needed to improve quality programs and close gaps.
  • Assist with quality assurance initiatives and projects as requested by leadership team and directed by the Continuous Process Improvement Manager.
  • Complete assigned project deliverables in accordance with the schedule.
  • Assist with developing quality assurance plans by conducting process analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
  • Validate quality processes by establishing quality standards, Service Level Agreements, measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide superior internal communication both verbal and written with internal colleagues.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Continuous Process Improvement Manager.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum,
  • 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy environment preferred.
  • Minimum one-year internal experience in a Patient Care Coordinator or Pharmacy Technician Role.
  • Minimum two-years pharmacy technician experience.
  • Previous experience with quality assurance audits preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of Project Management tools.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
