Curant Health is searching for a Patient Care Coordinator to join its team in Atlanta, GA.  This position is primarily responsible for creating patient records and coordinating all incoming new orders via, phone, fax or web. This position also supports the Pharmacy Intake Department, and is cross-trained in various positions to manage the prescription fulfillment process from inception to delivery.

Responsibilities

  •  Provide a superior patient experience by providing pharmacy customer service to an assigned group of patients.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both in person and on the phone to a variety of audiences including patients, patient care providers, physicians, pharmacists and staff.
  • Accurately load patients in PioneerRX, including verifying insurance, inputting medical records, updating and maintaining as needed.
  • Make outgoing refill reminder calls to patients.
  • Generate reorder paperwork for the pharmacy department to fulfill the refill request
  • Document all pertinent patient communications
  • Assist pharmacy department as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Must be registered in the state of Georgia as a Pharmacy Technician; Certificate is a plus
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred
  • PioneerRX software experience is preferred
